About me

Hi my name is Julie. I have four wonderful children, two have now flown the nest. The two youngest, teenage boys are still living at home, ‘keeping me on my toes’.

For over twenty years I worked within the prison environment. After leaving the service, I retrained in, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH).  SFH enabled me to personally overcome some of life’s unwanted experiences.  I now enjoy working with a variety of client’s, enabling them to experience this enlightening and beneficial form of therapy.

We are all very different, not everyone in similar situations will experience things the same way. I am passionate about working individually with people, enabling them to move forward in a positive way to become a more positive version of themselves.

A free and complementary initial consultation is offered to discuss what you would like to achieve. During this consultation, I will explain the workings of parts of our amazing brain, help you to understand why we feel the way we do, and how I can best help you to achieve positive changes you wish to make.

I will work with you, enabling you to discover some of the ways our amazing brain works to protect us and process events. Combing a solution focused approach with hypnosis, you can start to make the conscious and sub-conscious positive changes you desire.  This is achieved without, having to go over or delve into negative events of the past.

In this ever evolving world, I am committed to continual professional development. This enables me to keep up with some of the many exciting developments being made.

My training was with the respected Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training Centre, where  I achieved my Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Diploma (SFHD). I went on to achieved my Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD). The HPD, has been externally validated and accredited by NCFE as having measurable learning outcomes that have been benchmarked at Level 4 (using Ofqual’s Qualification and Credit Framework [QCF] level descriptors). I also have a BSc (Hons) in Criminology & Psychological Studies.

Continuing my development I am now completing the, Advance Hypnotherapy Diploma (AHD). The AHD, is accredited by the NCFE as having measurable learning outcomes that have been benchmarked at Level 5 (using Ofqual’s QCF level descriptors).  At present (2023), the AHD is the highest award in Hypnotherapy.
